We started the day off with a short drive to Tower Grove Park. This 289 acre park, which was originally the land of Henry Shaw, was donated to the city of St. Louis in 1868. We all went off to draw various sections and details of the park; we had to include in our drawings one of the many pavillions and a detail from one of the four entrances.

There are many pavillions at Tower Grove Park, and each one has different purposes such as having a picnic, bands, and even lecturing a class.

After lunch, we headed over to the Missouri Botanical Gardens, where we went on a plant walk and took notes on the different species. After our plant walk we had some time to wander around the Botanical Gardens where we got a chance to see some of the Chinese inspired gardens and the botanical dome that was their.

After we left the Botanical Garden the group split up and many of us went to Dick Blicks to pick up much needed art supplies. We made it back just in time to catch the hotels free dinner! The rest of the nigth was spent working on plans for 281.
